A little about me…

Out of my 50 years of life, I have spent 45 of them in public education. Whether it’s exploring unique opportunities, learning additional skills, or meeting new people, I bring these values to every experience throughout my life on a personal and professional level.

I am currently the Instruction/Technology Liaison Coordinator at Lake Dallas Independent School District in North Texas (that’s a mouthful, right?). In layman’s terms, I have one foot in instructional technology and the other foot in technology support where I have the honor of serving over 3,800 students in grades K-12 and 400 staff. I am not limited to just one campus or one grade level, but support everyone, every campus and every program for the entire school district – it is NOT boring and ever-evolving!

I have 3 beautiful and amazing children, ages 26, 23 and 18. They are all brilliant, independent, kind-hearted, fiercely loyal and hard loving young people that I treasure most in this world. At this very moment, all 4 of us are enrolled in higher education classes…so it is an interesting dynamic for sure. We keep each other challenged and motivated. But we especially love our time spent together whether it is the occasional dinners or our annual summer vacation to the beach (my happy place). Although they are technically adults, they will always be my babies. My greatest joy is being their mom and watching them navigate this crazy and challenging life.

I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan (yes, next year will be the year…), have 2 cheweenie pups that are the best companions, prefer HOT weather that is even better with ocean breeze preferable, Hallmark Channel 24/7 (hopeless romantic), PC all the way (sorry Apple) and I give all credit and glory to my Lord for who I am today. It has been a difficult life to say the least, but I wake every morning with a desire to be better and learn more, always thankful for the small blessings that appear out of nowhere and the network of friends and family who keep me lifted and loved.
